Neve Campbell will not return for The Lincoln Lawyer season 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, the door remains open for her to come back in the future.
Campbell’s character, Maggie McPherson, is the first ex-wife of the main protagonist Mickey Haller. She has a smaller role in the show’s second season, accepting a job in a different city by the finale. It’s worth noting that Maggie does not appear in The Gods of Guilt, the Michael Connelly novel that serves as the basis for the already confirmed Lincoln Lawyer season 3.
Fan favorite Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as Mickey Haller. Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freemann), among others, are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming 10-episode season.
The logline for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 reads: “Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the second season is based on the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness.”
Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez serve as executive producers alongside David E. Kelley, Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson. The Lincoln Lawyer was created for television by Kelley and developed by Humphrey. The series hails from A+E.
