Aisha Yesufu
Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has taken a swipe at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after the immediate past governor of Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje emerged as the National Chairman of the party.
TORI recalls that on Thursday, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the APC elected Ganduje, as the National Chairman of the party.
He succeeds Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who resigned in the third week of July
Ganduje’s emergence was ratified at the NEC meeting of the ruling party in Abuja.
President Bola Tinubu had shown interest in Ganduje succeeding Adamu.
The National Caucus of the APC had also recommended Ganduje while the immediate past spokesperson for the Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru was being prepped as the acting National Secretary
Reacting to the appointment, Yesufu opined that Ganduje ought to be incarcerated instead of leading the party.
She insisted that the ruling party has shown that it encourages, nurtures and reward criminality.
Speaking via Twitter, she wrote, “A man that should be facing a incarceration is heading the helm of affairs of APC.
“In what more ways does APC show it is a party that encourages, nurtures and reward criminality?”
