Shooting Stars mourn late referee Opeyemi

The management of Shooting Stars have mourned the demise of a member of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA), Oyo State Council, Mr Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi.

The deceased, who was the chairman, Ona Ara Referees Society, died on Saturday evening in a ghastly accident.

He was returning from a fitness test in Abuja in company of four others when the mishap occurred at Osu, Ilesha, Osun State.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the demise of Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi, a fine gentleman.

“It is our prayer that God will grant him eternal rest and give his family, friends and colleagues, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“The club also wish the trio of Oni Ebenezer Segun, Ajadi Odunayo and Amos, who sustained injuries in the accident, quick recovery,” the club said.
