Ayanna Chapman was born to her parents, Lydia Chapman and Eddie Chapman, on February 22, 1999, in Camden, New Jersey. She has three siblings: Kewanee, Alycia, and Kayla. She attended Salem High School in Salem, New Jersey, where she played in the high school’s field hockey team as a Back/Midfielder.
She played under head coach Donna O’Leary and contributed significantly to the team’s success. In her senior year, the team achieved an impressive 12-2 record, remaining undefeated with a 10-0 score in conference competition. Their exemplary performance earned them the Tri-County Conference title. She also participated in basketball and track during her time at Salem High School.
Ayanna was good in sports as she was good in her academics. She was a member of the National Honors Society and notably graduated fourth in her class.
