Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, has responded to the criticisms that have followed his recent musical performance in Canada.
A video of the “Girlfriend” crooner, who is currently on his Canada tour, went viral, showing him dancing erotically with ladies on stage and stirred reactions from fans.
In the video, Ruger invited five ladies on stage to dance with him and was seen energetically engaging with each lady’s backside, infusing the performance with an erotic energy that sent the fans into a frenzy.
However, one of the women appeared to be uncomfortable with the way he was interacting with her rear.
The video triggered numerous reactions online, with many criticizing Ruger for what they considered a needless erotic display during his stage performances.
Some also advised him to be cautious about how he dances and touches women in other countries, as they could potentially sue him for sexual assault and harassment in the future.
In response, Ruger took to his Instagram story to address the comments, dismissing them as an attempt to dampen the enjoyment he shares with his female fans.
He referred to the Nigerian critics as trolls and went on to shame them for their inability to afford fuel due to the current price hike following the removal of fuel subsidy.
“It’s funny how these Naija twitter trolls struggling to buy fuel try to spoil our fun. The fun never stops”. He wrote.
