Episode 3 – Gossip With Blasters; Jodha Akbar, Behind The Cameras

Controversies are everywhere but in the entertainment industry is a huge topic to discuss, Jodha akbar happens to be one of the series with many controversies which led to the sudden ending of the series even tho it was performing better on TRP. Welcome to episode 3 of GOSSIP WITH BLASTERS.

Jodha Akbar: Behind The Cameras…
Jodha akbar is a 2013 historical series produced by Ekta Kapoor for Zee Entertainment. In 2013, a group called “Shri Rajput Karni Sena” who claims the series was distorting history demanded the show to go off air. Another group “Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha” protested against the show as they belief it was belittling the Rajput Community. This went to the extent of them burning down the Balaji head honcho’s effigy.

Paridhi Sharma who played the female lead “Jodha Begum” alleged that she was physically and mentally abused by the director of the show “Santaram Verma”, however Verma denied all the allegations and according to the internet, Paridhi had even threatened to walk out of the show following differences with Santram and Rajat, but Ekta intervene so Paridhi stayed but the director was sacked.

Despite their great chemistry onscreen, Paridhi and Rajat Tokas ( Jalal) were at loggerheads with each other to the extent that they didn’t even exchange pleasantries offscreen. According to the internet, Rajat is known to be a rude abs arrogant person, and also feels that he is senior as compared to Paridhi so he decides to maintain his distance. Another news that broke the internet was when Paridhi refused to kiss Rajat in one of the scenes. And this was the beginning of a disaster, this news stayed in the headlines for months.

We can’t deny that both Rajat and Paridhi slayed their roles despite their differences. They are not the only onscreen duo at loggerheads, we can also talk about Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey ( Anupama and Vanraj in the series Anupama,) Vivian D’Sena and Drashti Dhami ( the lead pair in madhubala) and the list goes on and on, Oh yes a lot goes on behind cameras. this brings us to end of episode 3 of #GossipWithBlasters see you next week.
