Apple Original Films has successfully acquired the rights to Jonah Hill’s next directorial feature, Outcome, with John Wick star Keanu Reeves attached to lead the project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is being described as a dark comedy featuring Reeves playing a damaged Hollywood star named Reef, “who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.”
Outcome will be directed by Jonah Hill from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ezra Woods. The project is produced by Hill through his Strong Baby production banner. This marks Hill’s second directorial effort following his 2018 coming-of-age drama Mid90s.
The film will be produced by Matt Dines and Apple Studios. The 21 Jump Street actor is also expected to star alongside Reeves. Besides Outcome, Hill is also collaborating with Apple Original Films on the development of the Grateful Dead biopic.
After returning as Neo in 2021’s The Matrix Resurrections, Keanu Reeves most recently reprised his titular assassin role in John Wick: Chapter 4, which is still currently playing in theaters. He will next be seen in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina with Ana de Armas.
