The Leprosy Mission Nigeria (TLMN) is a Christian Health and Development Organization working in partnerstiip with the Federal Ministry of Health and with the State Ministries of Health in 10 states (Akwa lbom, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi Benue, Katsina Nasarawa and the FCT- Abuja) towards the eradication leprosy and the care/restoration of persons and communities affected by leprosy.

Job Title: Internal Auditor
Location: Abuja
Main Function of the Job
To promote the soundness, adequacy, reliability, and application of internal accounting and other operating controls in TLMN and as well as improve on them at a reasonable cost.
Principal Responsibilities
 Ascertaining the extent of compliance with TLMN’s established policies, plans, and procedures.
Review of TLMN compliance with laws, regulations, and other external requirements.
Ascertaining the extent to which TLMN’s assets are safeguarded in the field and NCO.
Reviewing operational practices to promote increased efficiency and economy and forwarding recommendations to management.
To carry out Pre and Post payment audits of NCO and field transactions respectively.
Main Task
Familiarize and keep up to date with established TLMN vision, policies, plans, and procedures.
Providing management with auditing information, especially management accounting reports, and interim financial statements.
Liaise with the Finance manager and National Director to examine External auditor’s reports or any external financial report and respond on behalf of management.
To keep and periodically update a record of prevailing prices of Capital and other items and other commodities used by TLMN.
Communicate with TLM Board through the National Director; on financial control issues relating to project expenditure in TLM-assisted programmes.
Participate in Annual plan and Budget preparation for NCO and field.
Familiarize, keep abreast with, and ensure TLMN’s compliance with laws, regulations, and other external requirements in the organization as it relates to financial management.
Compile/update information on the number, location, and condition of TLMN’s assets.
Examination of financial and other operating information on the activities of the organization e.g Utilization of assets and facilities.
Participate in the overall management of program/project development in TLM Nigeria in line with TLM visions and strategy. 11. Perform any other duties as may be required.
Personal SpecificationDesirable Qualifications:
HND / B.Sc in Accounting.
Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a reputable organization.
Registered member of ICAN Skill
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to take initiative.
Ability to work unsupervised
Honest and dedicated
Ability to manage people under him very well.
Problem solver Ability to adapt Circumstances
Willing to travel extensively Willingness and Flexibility in unpredictable circumstances
