Job Title: Accountant

Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant to aid in all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
Responsibilities
Assisting in auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we are compliant with all tax regulations
Creating company financial reports with the above information included
Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company’s financial health
Analysing data to understand where the company is generating and losing revenue
Examining the proficiency of the software programs used to organise data
Generating financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow
Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
Examining expenses submitted by employees
Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
Highly detail-oriented.
2-5 years of accounting/finance experience
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
