Development Aid for Children, Women and Youth Initiative (DEV-AID) is a Non-Governmental Organization, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as a Not-for-Profit, Non-Religious, Voluntary Organization founded on the ideals of making a change in the development of Children, Women and Youths, through Capacity development/ Strengthening, Advocacy and Campaigns, Service delivery, Mobilization, Research and Evidence generation. Job Title: Program Officer

Core ResponsibilitiesProject Management:
Support the development of actionable work plans towards the strategic implementation of the project as required, and collaborate with management to ensure compliance to work plan and project objectives.
Work closely with all staff and consultants in Nigeria, coordinating program information and data.
Provide timely monthly work-plan that shall be evaluated with the corresponding activities at the end of the relevant month.
Responsible for driving proposal development, report writing, and programme and tasks managementÂ
Develop best practices to improve overall program performance
Oversee project implementation and plan for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to across project targets/communities.
Ensure proper coordination of conferences, workshops, meetings, and other project activities.
Develop and Implement key programs that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
Manage rapid assessment visits to the sites selected for the IEC/BCC Campaign and monitor IEC/BCC Campaign activities using M&E checklist and data tools.
Resource Mobilization:
Identify potential donors or sources of funding, and plan outreach strategies.
Take responsibility for fundraising, budgeting, research, and community outreach programs
Drive fundraising efforts by developing grant applications or proposals to achieve the organization’s goals.
Build productive relationships with potential partners and organizations.
Communication/Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners that would help increase visibility for the organization and respond to media inquiries
Manage effective communication with stakeholders and represent the organization at key meetings as assigned. Be the public face of the organization.
Provide guidance and maintain frequent communication with program partners.
A thorough eye for details to guide content for social media.
Establish and Nurture good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media
Support the communications team in developing and implementing a communications strategy designed to further project DEV-AID objectives
Documentation/Report Writing:
Write reports and analyses of programmatic activities,
Prepare meeting agenda, organize meetings, and distribute minutes.
Conduct program reviews and prepare reports for management
Support the development of regular and timely reports on project outcomes/deliverables for donors/management
Manage and monitor grants and prepare funding reports.
Administrative Duties:
Ensure that the DEV-AID operates based on its existing procedures and policies.
Ensure the monthly reporting on expenses and office budgets.
Update office policies as needed
Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
Book meeting rooms as required
Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned
Arrange travel and accommodations
Provide training to relevant staff on DEV-AID systems and policies and ensure standards of transparency and accountability.
Manage office supplies stock and place orders
Maintain and update company databases
Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents
Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Qualifications
Minimum of a BSc in any relevant field of study
4-5 years of experience in the NGO sector
Female candidates’ applications are at an advantage
Age between 25 – 30 years are encouraged to apply.
