The stepdaughters episode 79

We started with Mayumi and Sasha taking care of Grace at the hospital. Mayumi fell asleep beside Grace and Grace happily watched her. Grace told Sasha that she couldn’t believe she had the same blood type as Mayumi. She was amazed that Mayumi donated blood for her and to her, she was the same person as Mayumi because their shared the same blood. Sasha told Grace that they were different and there was no way she could be Mayumi.

Francis was having a hard time after breaking up with Mayumi. Grandma Felly said that he would get over it, just like he did with his ex-girlfriend.
Mayumi had suspected that Isabelle was behind the robbery at the bank. Sasha saw a picture of Isabelle in the US and told Mayumi that Isabelle couldn’t do it because she was abroad.
A few months later, it was Francis birthday. Mayumi threw a surprise party for him at the office. He was about to blow out the candles when his ex-girlfriend, Ailene arrived. She brought a cake as well to celebrate Francis’ birthday. The atmosphere suddenly changed when she hugged Francis.

Francis had a chat with Ailene and asked her about her husband. Ailene said they got divorced and her husband left her for another woman. She added that she was raising her sick son alone and was having a hard time.
Francis brought Ailene home to greet his grandmother. Bryce thought that Francis should rekindle his relationship with Ailene because his relationship with Mayumi was over.

Grace met up with Daphne to get the money she had lent back. Sasha went to the same restaurant and Daphne had to hide. Sasha asked Grace what she was doing there and Grace said she was getting a dress from an online seller but it didn’t look the same as the picture so she didn’t buy it. Grace asked Sasha where Mayumi bought her clothes because she liked the style. Sasha said she didn’t know and asked Grace to find something fitting for her.

Grace went to snoop around Mayumi’s room, looking for something that would make her feel like Mayumi. Mayumi arrived when she was looking at a necklace and Grace said she dropped in for a chat. The following day, Mayumi realized her necklace was missing. She went to ask Grace if she had seen the necklace and Grace said she didn’t. She had indeed taken the necklace and hid it after Mayumi left.

Ailene brought her son, Yuri to visit Francis at Coco Bella. Francis gave Yuri a gift and he was happy because his father had never given him one. Yuri suddenly fell ill and Francis helped Ailene take him to the hospital. Mayumi and Sasha followed. Ailene had a panic attack at the hospital and Francis helped her calm down. Yuri was glad to have Francis with them because his father never wanted to bring him to the hospital. He told Francis that he wished he could be his father. Mayumi watched them and later told Sasha that it hurt her to see Francis care for someone else.

Isabelle came back from her trip to the US. She went to see Daphne with Ariana and Nikki, who had been helping her with her plans against Mayumi. She revealed that she had hired Ailene to break up Francis and Mayumi. When Ailene came to collect her money, she said that Francis was still nice to her and it would be easy to fall for him again. After she left, the others were worried about what Ailene said. Isabelle said she didn’t mind seeing Francis with someone else, as long as it was not with Mayumi.

After Yuri got discharged, Ailene went to thank Francis for his help. She also said that Yuri really liked him. Francis said that he didn’t want Yuri to mistake his intentions. Ailene however said that she still had feelings for him and kissed him.

Mayumi saw them as he was heading to Francis’s office. Ailene went to see her after leaving Francis’s office and asked to talk woman to woman. Mayumi assured Ailene that her relationship with Francis was over and she would not interfere if they wanted to get back together.

Francis went to see Mayumi to explain but she wouldn’t let him talk. She said they were over and he should rebuild his relationship with Ailene.
