The first Dragon Age anime adaptation on Netflix is almost here, as Dragon Age: Absolution will soon premiere.
BioWare’s well-known fantasy video game series is the latest franchise eyed by Netflix. Here’s when to watch the upcoming series.
Netflix set the Dragon Age: Absolution release date at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Friday, December 9. The series consists of six episodes and takes place in Tevinter. Best known for her role on the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series and a few Transformers ones, Mairghread Scott is serving as showrunner. Red Dog Culture House is producing and has worked on The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and The Player Who Can’t Level Up.
Dragon Age: Absolution was also created in collaboration with BioWare and will have a new cast of characters that are “authentic to” Dragon Age‘s lore. It will have elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons, and other “special surprises.”
Dragon Age: Absolution features Kimberly Brooks as Miriam, Matthew Mercer as Fairbanks, Ashley Burch as Qwydion, and Sumalee Montano as Hira. Additionally, Phil LaMarr as Roland, Keston John as Lacklon, Josh Keaton as Rezaren, and Zehra Fazal as Tassia, among others.
