Reality TV series, In the Soop: Friendcation, went from a slow start to a winning format with a cast of 5 mates heading on holiday together and relaxing. As they loosen up and forget the cameras, insights are revealed such as how they hooked up as a fast friends and what they’d like to do next in their careers.

Top-rated on IMDB, the celebrity stars of the quick-run series appear to be keen to get together and do it again, perhaps next time as a road trip.

What is In the Soop: Friendcation Season 1 about?

In the Soop: Friendcation is reality TV but not as we know it. Instead of contrived scenarios and forced discord, we get a bunch of guys reluctantly going on holiday together, on camera for the world to watch.

Presented by Disney+, the 4-part mini-series delivers a cast of heavy-hitting K-stars including Choi Woo-shik (Parasite, Our Beloved Summer, Time to Hunt), Park Seo-joon (Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels, Itaewon Class) actor/singer Park Hyung-sik (Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Suits, Juror 8) plus BTS’ V (Kim Taehyung) and rapper/singer/producer Peakboy (known for breakthrough hit Gin&Tonic, and body positivity tune, Diet). Has In the Soop: Friendcation been renewed for Season 2?

Even with a reluctant start with some of the guys feeling press-ganged into the arrangement, by the end they’ve had such fun every one of them has started considering ideas for a sweet season 2. But what does Disney+ have to say?  So far, not very much. At this time a renewal seems unlikely but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop if that changes.
