TOPIC: The Just God [Open Heaven for Teens 3 October 2022]
MEMORISE: God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalms 7:11
READ: 2 Thessalonians 1:6-8
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ephesians 5:1-33, Isaiah 27-28
MESSAGE:
In a school setting, no student gets promoted to the next class unless he/she has passed his/her examinations. We can therefore say that ones success in a promotional examination would determine if he/she would be upgraded to the next class. This same rule is applicable to ones destination on the last day.
Many people think God is wicked for creating Hell. I hope you are not one of them. God is not wicked, instead, He is just. It is this attribute of His that made Him create Heaven for the obedient and Hell for the disobedient. In fact, the Bible tells us in Matthew 25:41 that Hell was originally created for Satan and the fallen angels, not humans. This same God made man in His image and likeness. Thereafter, He gave us the will to choose how we live our lives but you must note that your lifestyle on earth will determine your destination at last. Thus, God would not send a righteous fellow to Hell.
God is so just that He would not allow the righteous to suffer. If I were you, I would be righteous.
KEY POINT:
Your lifestyle on earth will determine your eternal destination.
HYMN: When The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound
1 When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound
and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks,
eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather
over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.
CHORUS
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.
