Transfer window: Klopp blocked Benfica move for Liverpool defender Phillips

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp blocked a move to Benfica for Nat Phillips last month.

The Athletic reports Benfica made an attempt to sign Phillips at the end of the transfer window.

Benfica made an offer for the defender, but following the injury to Ibrahima Konate, Klopp decided to keep the 25-year-old.
