BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Corinthians 14:21-40, Proverbs 7-8

MESSAGE:

Moses had his first encounter with God in Exodus 3:1-22 and that marked a new turn of events for him. Of all the Prophets of old, Moses is chief. Do you know why? God introduced Himself to him. Exodus 3:13 says:

“And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?”

God replied in the next verse saying: “I AM THAT I AM.” In other words, “I am who I am. I am whatever you think about Me. If you think I am your Saviour, then I am. If to another fellow I am a Healer, then I am. I am whatever revelation you have about Me”. God can be everything to you.

Who is God to you? Have you caught a revelation of who God is?

ACTION POINT:

What do you want God to be to you? Tell Him right now.

HYMN: O Worship The King

  1. O worship the King all glorious above,
O gratefully sing His power and His love:
    our Shield and Defender, the
    Ancient of Days,
    pavilioned in splendour and girded
    with praise.
  2. O tell of His might, O sing of His grace,
whose robe is the light, whose
    canopy space.
His chariots of wrath the deep
    thunderclouds form,
and dark is His path on the wings of
    the storm.
  3. Thy bountiful care, what tongue can
    recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the
    light;
It streams from the hills, it descends
    to the plain,
and sweetly distils in the dew and
    the rain.
  4. Frail children of dust, and feeble as
    frail,
in Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to
    fail.
Your mercies, how tender, how firm
    to the end,
    our Maker, Defender, Redeemer,
    and Friend!
  5. O measureless Might, ineffable Love,
While angels delight to hymn Thee above!
    The humbler creation, though
    feeble their lays,
with true adoration shall lisp to Thy praise!
