Everything I Know about Love is a series based on Dolly Alderton’s best-selling memoir with the same title. It is one of the latest Peacock Original series, which is also available to watch on BBC iPlayer, for those in the UK. If you have enjoyed the series you might be eager to find out if the show has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

What is Everything I Know About Love about ?

Everything I Know About Love is a show that narrates the story of four young women who are friends and live together in London 2012. Maggie and Birdie have been best friends since they were 11 and have been there for each other through it all. They meet Amara and Nell while in University and they all become close friends.

They are young women trying to find and make their mark in their chosen careers. They are navigating the whole shebang that comes with being young, independent, and figuring out what you want. Of course, they will need each other, booze, and a few handkerchiefs as they deal with the ups and downs of life. From bad relationships, humiliations, stressful jobs, and losing touch with each other, will these girls survive?

Has Everything I Know About Love been renewed for season 2?

At the time of writing, Everything I Know About Love has not been renewed for season 2. Many mitigating factors will decide whether the show is renewed for a new season or cancelled. Peacock/BBC might decide based on the reception of the series and its success in the UK and America, whether to renew it or not. Generally these factors are dependent on the number of viewers, how well it’s done critically and whether there’s even a story to tell if this is greenlit.

So far, the series ratings are fairly good but critics are giving it mixed reviews. It will be up to the viewers to decide if the show is something they enjoyed and wish for another season. Overall, the reception of the series leads us to believe this will be renewed for another season.

What we know about season 2 so far:

Dolly Alderton recently gave an update on the possibility of a season 2 during the premiere event for the series. She said she hopes the network picks the series for another season as the girls’ story is not over yet.

“I feel like there are so many stories out there and so many things that I want to know about the girls,” she said.

Alderton is yet to write the sequel to her memoir and it is uncertain if and when she will write it. Should there be a second season, she will need to continue the stories as she created the characters in the show.

Given the ending of the series, we’re not sure if there is a need for a season 2. If they decide to go for it though, we hope they make it more about who the girls are individually and less about their co-dependency on each other. Season 1 was too focused on the relationship between Maggie and Birdie, subsequently failing to build the other characters.  Anyway, only time will tell the fate of this show but do be sure to check back frequently!
