Manchester United star, Jesse Lingard, has decided to stay at the club in January and fight for his place under interim manager, Ralf Rangnick.
Lingard has found himself dropped out of Man United’s starting XI at Old Trafford so far this season, making just eight Premier League appearances, all off the bench.
That led to calls for a move away in the forthcoming January transfer window in a bid to get regular football.
But according to the Athletic, Lingard, who is out of contract at Man United at the end of the current season, is prepared to see out his deal and stay with the Red Devils next month.
The 29-year-old had rejected an offer to extend his contract at Old Trafford in October.
The England international has drawn interest from Barcelona and AC Milan in the past.
Lingard is desperate to be selected by England for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
He knows he needs regular minutes between now and next November to convince England manager, Gareth Southgate.
Lingard impressed out on loan at West Ham for the second half of last season.
