Former Liverpool star, Stan Collymore, has urged manager, Jurgen Klopp, to sell Naby Keita next year because of two Reds players, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot.
Collymore said this after Keita produced an unimpressive display during Liverpoolās Premier League 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
With Fabinho, Thiago and Jordan Henderson all unavailable against Tottenham, Keita was paired in Liverpoolās midfield alongside James Milner and 19-year-old Morton.
But Collymore was not impressed with Keitaās performance against Spurs, insisting that Klopp should get rid of him at the end of the season.
According to him, Jones and Elliot can play in the Guinean midfielderās position at Liverpool.
āFor me now, Iām getting to the end of my tether with him [Naby Keita],ā Collymore told Empire of the Kop.
āI wonder at the end of the season whether Jurgen Klopp would look to get rid [of Keita] and whether he would look to upgrade. Thereās a possibility there.
āThere might be other players like Harvey [Elliott] or Curtis Jones that may naturally develop into first-team players with another year behind them.ā
