River Plate attacking midfielder, Julian Alvarez has refused to rule out a move to Manchester United or other European clubs.
The 21-year-old is heavily linked with a January move to Manchester United this winter.
The youngster has established himself as one of the finest attacking players in Argentine football.
His outstanding performances have caught the attention of some of Europe’s elite clubs including Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
United are aware that Alvarez has a £17 million release clause in his contract at River Plate, though, which will rise to £21 million in the final ten days of the transfer window.
“Frankly, I don’t know what will happen, now I’m only thinking about celebrating. In January we will see,” Alvarez told reporters following River Plate’s 4-0 win over Colon.
On whether a January move could jeopardise his hopes of landing a World Cup spot, Alvarez added: “We all know how much the World Cup means for a player.
“When I make my decision I’ll choose what’s best for me.”
