Former Manchester United star, Ji-Sung Park, has returned to English football to launch his coaching career.

Park, who is the most decorated Asian player in history, has taken charge of the U-16 side at Queens Park Rangers as part of his coaching B license.

The former midfielder, who played for both Manchester United and QPR, will be learning to coach while under the tutelage of QPR’s head of coaching, Chris Ramsey.

Speaking on the development, the 40-year-old told the club’s official website: “Having played for QPR I’m really interested to see how they develop their younger players. I have learnt lots from the players as well as the coaches.

“I have been surprised at how enthusiastic Chris is towards football and particularly towards the youth levels.

“It’s not normal to see someone who is involved with the first team, like Chris is, so involved with the whole youth system. It has been really impressive to see.

“People might think being a coach is quite similar to being a player. For me, I have realized it is totally different.

“When I look at Asia or South Korea, the administration needs to improve compared to Europe and I will look that way.”

Park won four Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League, the Club World Cup and three League Cups during his time at Man United.
