The year 2021 presented a unique set of challenges for the human race but despite this, humanity has a lot to be thankful for.
This was the thrust of a message by Senator Dayo Adeyeye at Christmas this year.
He said for Nigerians especially, the challenges posed by the dwindling economy, insecurity and the COVID-19 pandemic were enough to dampen peoples spirit.
He, however, believes the atmosphere of relative peace in most parts of the country is something to be grateful for, considering the centrifugal forces pulling the country in different directions.
Adeyeye used the occasion to congratulate Ekiti citizens for an eventful year that has been largely peaceful, urging them to celebrate in moderation while engaging in some sober reflection on the past and the road ahead.
He admonished Ekiti people to continue to embrace the peace, unity and development which the state has pursued and promoted since inception while urging them to invest more in thoughts, deeds and actions that promote their general wellbeing, even as the state prepares for another election year.
Senator Adeyeye wished all Ekiti residents a Merry Christmas.
