The Stepdaughters On Joyprime Episode 1

The series starts with a young girl called Mayumi, along with her parents, Mario and Luisa. Mario works as a truck driver with his friend Hernan. Mario and Hernan are trying to win the lottery so that they can both give their families a better life.

One day, as Luisa goes to pick up Mayumi from school, their house catches fire and they lose everything they own. With nowhere to stay, Hernan agrees to let Mario and his family stay in his house until they can find a new place.

Hernan lives with his wife Brenda and daughter Isabelle in a small house. Brenda is not happy to see her husband bring Mario’s family into their house and demands that they leave after a few days or they will have to pay rent.

Luisa is not able to sleep because of the problems she and her family are facing. Hernan consoles her when he finds her outside but when Brenda finds the two of them together, she accuses Luisa of trying to seduce her husband. Hernan tries to explain that she has understood and Luisa goes to sleep so as not to cause more problems.

With Brenda’s hostility, Luisa and Mario try their best to make money and move to a new place. They leave Mayumi at home so Brenda also asks Isabelle to stay in the house to make sure Mayumi doesn’t ruin anything.

When the grown-ups leave, Isabelle decides to play with her mother’s makeup. She uses a brand new case but it falls and gets ruined. She is worried that she might get scolded so she applies makeup on Mayumi and blames her for ruining the makeup.

Brenda is furious at Mayumi for ruining her make up so she scolds her. Luisa is not happy to see her daughter attacked when she arrives back home so she decides to leave. She and Mario find a new place to stay and move out of Hernan’s house.

Brenda notices some medication that Mario left behind and finds out that he has a heart illness. Hernan and Mario are partners at work and Brenda worries that Mario will put Hernan in danger while driving because of his illness. She reports this to their boss, causing Mario to get fired. Mario is devastated to lose his job since he will not be able to take care of his family.

Since it’s Mayumi’s birthday, Mario uses the date to enter his lottery ticket number and ends up winning 120 million pesos. He is excited to tell his family about their fortune but he suffers a heart attack once he gets in the van. The episode ends with Hernan finding him.
