Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick has hailed striker Edinson Cavani following his side’s Premier League 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Monday night.
Rangnick described Cavani as a top striker, adding that it was good to have him back in his squad.
Cavani came off the bench to equalize for Man United against Newcastle.
Allan Saint-Maximin had opened the scoring for Newcastle in the first half at St. James’ Park.
Speaking after the game, Rangnick told BBC Sport, “Edinson [Cavani] is a top striker who has been out with injury, but it was good to have him on board again and to bring him on at half-time.
He added, “We still have steps to go. Today was not a step forward.”
The result against Newcastle means Man United are in 7th position on the Premier League table with 28 points from 17 games.
The Red Devils will face Burnley in their next game on Thursday.
