Hugo Maradona, the brother of Argentina legend Diego Maradona, is dead at the age of 52.
Hugo died on Tuesday at his home in Naples after suffering a heart attack.
His death is coming just 13 months after a cardiac arrest killed Diego.
Like his brothers Diego and Raul, Hugo started playing football at a very young age and even signed for Napoli at the age of 18, although he was soon loaned out to Ascoli.
Hugo ended up not having a career in the elite of football and instead focused his efforts on youth football projects.
He leaves behind a wife, Paola Morra, whom he married in 2016, and three children.
Reacting, Josi Della Ragione, mayor of the municipality of Bacoli where Hugo lived, paid tribute to Hugo following his death.
“Bacoli clings to the pain of the Maradona family, for the death of dear Hugo. I hugged his wife, Paola,” Ragione told Daily Mail.
“I had the honor and the pleasure of celebrating his wedding. It was an exciting and happy day. I will remember Hugo’s simplicity. He was always among the people.
“He was always among the people, and he had become a son of the Phlegraean community. May he rest in peace.”
