Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has identified midfielder, N’Golo Kante as a two-in-one player in his team.
Tuchel said Chelsea have two ‘Kantes’ – one in the offence and one in the defence.
The German noted that the France international lifts everybody up in the Chelsea squad both off the pitch.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League tie with Brighton on Wednesday night, Tuchel told Chelsea TV: “He’s like one-and-a-half players, like an extra half player minimum. We have the feeling we have two N’Golos, one in offence and one in defence.
“He’s helping everybody off the pitch and don’t forget he gives a lot of confidence to everybody around him and lifts everybody up.
“So, what can I say? I’m happy, and very lucky that he’s in our squad.”
Kante has won the Premier League title, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup since joining Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016.
The 30-year-old has been a stalwart in Chelsea’s midfield under every manager he has played for at Stamford Bridge.
