Watford manager, Claudio Ranieri, has said he may not release Emmanuel Dennis for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, because the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) sent his invitation letter late.
Despite the Hornetsā poor form, Dennis has been impressive, scoring eight goals and assisting five.
He is only second to Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, in terms of Premier League goal involvements this season.
Dennisā outstanding displays earned him a Super Eagles call-up for the 2021 AFCON.
However, there is a possibility that the 24-year-old could miss the tournament.
Iām not so sure I will miss him now, I donāt know if he will go,ā Ranieri told Watford Observer.
āLetās think about it this week, and then I will tell you.
āThe national team has time to send their precall, they donāt respect the days and I want to see very well.
āI know the email arrived late and I want to know everything. The email arrived late to call him. The national team has a time, during this time they have to send the precall, if they donāt send the precall, we can choose.ā
