Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has bemoaned the spate of injuries within his squad following their 1-1 draw with Brighton on Wednesday night.
The Blues suffered more injury setbacks and also dropped two points, after Danny Welbeck cancelled out Romelu Lukaku’s opener.
After the game, Tuchel said “everybody” is injured and claimed he has “no more wingbacks” fit, ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool this weekend.
Reece James limped off in the first half with what looked like a hamstring issue, while Andreas Christensen was taken off at half time with a back problem.
Tuchel said: “No prognosis yet [on James]. It’s a hamstring injury. We will not look ahead to Liverpool now. We cannot. We have to try and find players to play. We have no more wingbacks. Everyone is injured.
“Players are coming back from Covid. They are playing. I will always protect my players. We need to digest this and then we will look ahead.”
