Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has identified Romelu Lukaku as the Blues player that surprises him following their Premier League 1-1 draw with Brighton on Wednesday night.
Lukaku had put Thomas Tuchel’s side in front, but a late equalizer from Danny Welbeck ensured both teams played a 1-1 draw.
The Belgium international has been brilliant since returning from a positive COVID-19.
“I’m surprised what he’s [Lukaku] doing,” Tuchel said at his post-match press conference after the game.
“I don’t know how long he can do it. We will try it and then we will see. Nobody knows.
“He was eight weeks out, and when he was trying to come back, he caught covid, and then after that training and then playing.
“That’s what we do at the moment.”
Chelsea’s title challenge is now on life support as they trail Manchester City with 8 points on the Premier League table.
