Manchester United’s experienced players are not interested in listening to interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s plans at Old Trafford.
This claim was made by Liverpool legend, Steve Nicol.
Rangnick, who replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has been unbeaten in his first four games as interim manager at Man United.
However, Man United have been less than convincing under the German gaffer so far this season.
Their latest result saw them struggle to a 1-1 draw against relegation-threatened Newcastle on Monday night.
And therefore, Nicol believes the senior Man United players are not listening to the plans Rangnick wants to implement in the team.
“Do you know what I think is interesting?” Nicol said on ESPN FC.
“If you look at all the places he’s been before, Rangnick, it’s always been young, up and coming players and teams, who if you say jump through a wall, they will do it without thinking about it.
“He’s never taken on a team with the experience that all these Man United players have and it doesn’t seem as though they are interested in what he has to say, for that particular reason.
“So he has no experience in dealing with that type of player, it’s always been young guys that just do what they tell them.”
