Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, believes Chelsea is better than his former club in terms of winning trophies in recent years.
Carragher also urged Liverpool to be āmore like Chelseaā and focus on more cup competitions after not winning āas much as their performances deservedā under manager, Jurgen Klopp.
The former defender stated this ahead of Liverpoolās away Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
Recall that Liverpool won the Premier League and Champions League in the 2019/20 season under Klopp, ending their 30-year wait for a top-flight title.
But Carragher believes the Reds could have added more trophies in recent seasons, given the quality of their play.
āHis [Kloppās] team have not won enough,ā Carragher told The Telegraph.
āOut of context, that sounds extremely unfair. A better way of putting it is that they have not won as much as their performances have deserved.
āTo put it simply, Liverpool needs to become more like Chelsea.
āWhat they have done so well during the Roman Abramovich [Chelsea owner] era is to become serial trophy collectors. That is an area where Liverpool can and must improve.ā
