READ: 1 John 4:4

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 23:1-35, Psalms 36-37

MESSAGE:

Why do you think the wicked hide in darkness? It is because they have skeletons in their cupboards. If you are truly born again, fear cannot be in or around you because greater is He that lives in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 ).

Children of God are supposed to be bold when faced with any challenge. In fact, you’re not supposed to chicken out but solidly declare that your Father is the Lord of hosts, therefore, no shaking!

One of our pastors in the Northern part of Nigeria secured an apartment in an area he didn’t know was terrorised by a witch doctor. He was asked to relocate and within the first few months, he received several death threats. He came to me to relay his fear. I encouraged him from the word of God to confront the devil in serious prayers which he did for some nights. Eventually, the witch doctor surrendered his life to Jesus because all the attacks he sent to the pastor boomeranged. I charge you today to stay on the Lords side in holiness and be confident that your Heavenly Father will back you up any day, anytime.

ACTION POINT:

Fear is not of God. Command it out of your life using 2 Timothy 1:7.

HYMN: STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS

  1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus
    Ye soldiers of the cross!
    Lift high His royal banner;
    It must not suffer loss.
    From vict’ry unto vict’ry
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished,
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    the trumpet call obey;
    Forth to the mighty conflict,
    In this His glorious day;
    Ye that are men now serve Him
    against unnumbered foes;
    let courage rise with danger,
    and strength to strength oppose.
  3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    stand in his strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you,
    Ye dare not trust your own:
    put on the gospel armour,
    And watching unto prayer;
    where duty calls, or danger,
    be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    The strife will not be long;
    this day the noise of battle,
    the next the victor’s song:
    to him that overcometh
    A crown of life shall be;
    He with the King of glory
    shall reign eternally.
