TOPIC: Labour Rewarded [Open Heaven for Teens 17 July 2022]

MEMORISE: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

READ: Esther 2:15

15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the kingā€™s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 20:1-38, Psalms 22-24

MESSAGE:

Esther had lost both parents earlier in life and was raised by her uncle, Mordecai, who was one of the palace workers. He must have raised Esther in strict compliance with the word of God for her to remain chaste until the contest before the king. Mordecai raised Esther and in return, she brought him into greatness by mentioning his name to the King. This shows the extent to which Esther appreciated her uncle for training her. Also, at the time Mordecai was raising Esther, there was no vacancy for Queen but at the appointed time, an opportunity showed up when her training was over. Her position as the queen shows that God had picked her to deliver the Jews.

Perhaps, you work so hard but are not appreciated by your pastor, parent or leader for the services you render to God and mankind. In fact, rather than approval or commendation, you may be getting sharp reprimands or discouragement, especially when you make a little mistake. Donā€™t be discouraged, donā€™t stop doing the things you do, because there is Someone keeping a record of all you do and He has promised that He will not forget your labour of love. Esther was rewarded with the crown; your own reward will come very soon.

ACTION POINT:

You will definitely reap the good you have sown.

HYMN: Standing On The Promises Of God

  1. Standing on the promises
    of Christ, our King,
    Throā€™ eternal ages let
    His praises ring;
    Glory in the highest,
    I will shout and sing,
    Standing on the promises of God.

CHORUS
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God, my Saviour;
Standing, standing,
Iā€™m standing on the promises of God.

  1. Standing on the promises
    that cannot fail.
    When the howling storms of
    doubt and fear assail,
    By the living word of God
    I shall prevail,
    Standing on the promises of God.
  2. Standing on the promises
    I now can see
    Perfect, present cleansing
    in the blood for me;
    Standing in the liberty
    where Christ makes free,
    Standing on the promises of God.
  3. Standing on the promises
    of Christ, the Lord,
    Bound to Him eternally
    by loveā€™s strong cord,
    Overcoming daily with
    the Spiritā€™s sword,
    Standing on the promises of God.
