EPL: He should’ve been sold three years ago – Goldbridge slams Man United for letting £89m star leave for free

Sports pundit Mark Goldbridge has slammed Manchester United for allowing Paul Pogba leave the club for free.

Goldbridge wondered why a player signed for as much as £89 million should be allowed to leave as free agent even when such player had signalled the club to sell him long before the expiration of his contract.

He, however, admitted that it was the right decision for the French star to leave the club, accusing him of dividing the fans.

“I think it’s the right decision,” Goldbridge, who is also a Manchester United fan, said on talkSPORT.

“I think United have got to take a big responsibility, we’ve let him go for free now, twice, £89million and he goes for free…but it’s definitely time to part ways.

“There’s been mistakes on both sides, the biggest mistake is this should have happened two or three years ago.”
