Jia and Dana went for their first hearing as Jia sought to nullify Michael’s adoption. Jia told the judge that she had cancer while pregnant. They ran out of money in Singapore so they decided to go back home. After she gave birth, there was a fire at the hospital and she was told that her son died. Harry had taken her son to Lucy in exchange for 5 million so she did not intend on giving him away.

When Dana took the stand, she said that she could not have a child after the accident she suffered. She and David were looking to adopt when Michael suddenly appeared. She claimed that Jia knew about what happened to her son. Since she did not have any money to take care of him, she sent him to the Wongs so they could take care of him.

Dana accused Jia of immorality for having an affair with David and sought to put her morality into question in front of the judge. The judge asked to see Harry to hear from him what really happened with Michael.

Jia’s told her and Kai that they had to find Harry. Meanwhile, Dana’s lawyer congratulated her for doing well and said they had a high chance to win the case. Dana decided to put a new plan into motion to make Jia suffer.

When Lucy told Adam what happened in court, he insisted that Lucy was the one who changed the first DNA results. Lucy still insisted that Adam had no proof.

Later, Lucy received a call from someone who claimed that he had evidence she had paid Harry 5 million for Michael. It was the guy Harry had asked for the bank statement and he planned to extort Lucy for money. Lucy panicked and called Carol. She told her that they had to get rid of Harry so that there would not be evidence of what they did. Carol however told her that she was planning to go to Singapore because her mother needed treatment. Adam was listening to her phone call.

David went to get Michael’s things from the Wong residence since he had agreed with Jia to take him Michael for 2 weeks. Adam refused to let David take Michael’s things. Adam felt ill so David left but he still got Michael from school.

It was Michael’s real birthday so Jia prepared a present for him. When she took it to Adam’s place, she found out that David had him. She therefore prepared a party instead with the help of Kai, David and Helen. Dana went to David’s house and tried to fight with Jia.
