South American football expert, Tim Vickery has said that there’s still a question mark over Gabriel Jesus’ football style.

TalkSPORTS reported earlier that the Brazil international has completed his move to Arsenal and has become the club’s highest paid player.

Vickery told talkSPORT that Jesus has failed to reach his expectations at Manchester City, wondering if he will show his real potential at Arsenal.

He also feels that the Brazil forward does not even know his original position whether a striker or a winger.

According to Vickery, many football followers, including Brazilian legend, Ronaldo Nazario had tipped Jesus to become a world class striker, but the 25-year-old, though haven’t done so badly, has not reached the expectation of many.

He said, “Six years ago, a comparison was being made between Gabriel Jesus and the original Brazilian Ronaldo.

“It was from the most impeccable source imaginable: The original Ronaldo, who said ‘this fella Gabriel Jesus reminds me of me when I was a kid’.”

He said no one dares compare Jesus to Ronaldo because Ronaldo was one of the best centre forwards ever, while Jesus always wanted to play as a winger.

“Gabriel Jesus, does he lack penalty area presence?”

Vickery added: “What is he? Does he want to play as a No.9, or does he want to play as a wide striker?”

Jesus, who joined City in January 2017 for a fee of £27 million/€33 million, plus add-ons, made his first Premier League appearance on 21 January of that year.

He went on to play 236 games for the Premier League champions, scoring 95 goals in all competitions for the club.
