Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that new manager Erik ten Hag lacks the weapon to fight for the title at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese have also told the former Premier League champions to up their game or he would leave the club.
According to Record, the Portuguese want to leave Old Trafford this summer because the club is lagging behind the others in terms of bolstering the team.
The superstar is ‘losing faith’ that the Red Devils can win anything in the upcoming season.
Ronaldo scored 18 league goals despite a torrid season for the club last season, and would not want a repeat this term
The 37-year-old was initially excited by a fresh start under new manager Erik ten Hag but is now doubtful any progress will be made due to the club’s lack of transfer activity.
The Red Devils are said to be chasing multiple top targets, including Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, Antony, Julien Timber, Lisandro Martinez, amongst others from Ajax Ajax but no deal has been struck yet.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and Manchester City have both been strengthened, and Ronaldo sees it as a sign of another season without silverware.
Record claim Ronaldo ‘fears Ten Hag doesn’t have weapons to fight for titles’, and ‘doesn’t want to waste the final years of his legendary career at a club where he feels he can’t add to his trophy haul.
The report in Record added that Ronaldo has issued an ultimatum to United – “up your game or I’ll leave.”
