5. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7. The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

MESSAGE:

An apprentice is someone who is attached to a master to learn a trade so that he/she can become like the master someday. An apprentice sees how his/her master sources raw materials , manufactures his / her products, negotiates the selling price with customers, builds customer relationships et cetera. He/she watches the footsteps of the master and tries to replicate them.

Jesus saw Himself as an apprentice of His own Father. This is why, during His earthly ministry, He did everything based on what He had seen His Father do. As a child of God, you must follow suit. You must emulate what Jesus has modelled for you in His word and practice it daily so that you can become like Him. When you do this, you become an apprentice. However, the Lord expects you not just to be an apprentice, but an exceptional one.

To be an exceptional apprentice, you must not stop at the works that Jesus did, you need to exceed them in your home, school, Church, community and country (John 14:12 ). You can do this by performing miracles and impacting lives with the love of God. You already have what it takes to do this as a co-heir with Jesus.

Father, please help to be an exceptional apprentice to Jesus.
