Record African champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria maintained their 39th position in the latest women’s ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Friday.
The Super Falcons also maintained the number one position in Africa.
Cameroon (54th), South Africa (58th), Ghana (59th) and Cote d’Ivoire (64th) are the top five teams on the continent.
The Super Falcons will look to successfully defend their title at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next month.
Randy Waldrum’s side are in Group C along with South Africa, Burundi and Botswana.
Morocco will host the competition from July 2nd to July 23rd.
Meanwhile, world champions, the United States of America, remain in the first position, Sweden stay second, while France stay in the third spot.
