Heirs Life Assurance (HLA), a digital life insurance company, has concluded arrangements for its forthcoming national essay competition aimed at developing writing skills among school children across the country.
The Chief Marketing Officer, Heirs Life Assurance, Ms Ifesinachi Okpagu, said primary school pupils and secondary school students were expected to participate in the competition tagged, ‘Heirs life essay championship.’
She noted that the essay, which is a nationwide competition, is targeted at students aged between eight and 13 years.
Okpagu said participating students would submit a 500-word essay on the topic, ‘If I were the President of Nigeria’.
“Students are expected to notify their schools of their participation,” she said.
She noted that the competition was designed to fulfil the company’s commitment to improving lives, especially the development of the Nigerian child.
“The competition provides a platform for students to express themselves in the most creative way possible. There is no doubt that this approach will empower the younger generation to dream and pursue their ambition without restriction.
“Prizes to be won include a brand-new laptop for the winning student, N500,000 worth of books and educational materials donated to the winning school, and several other prizes,” she said.
